Time.  This is something that we don’t seem to have enough of.  Something that seems to pass us by so quickly.  Something that can be so easily wasted.  We all have the same hours each day. It matters how we spend those hours.

Time Saving Tips

Are we running around frazzled and burned out?  Do we have a schedule for each day?  Do we have goals that we want to accomplish each day?  Are we enjoying quality time with our family? Do we have time to just “be” with our family, bonding with them? Or are always so busy trying to get a handle on all we have to accomplish?

Taking care of a household, caring for the children, homeschooling, serving others,  all requires time management skills.  Sometimes we need a little guidance to help us along the way. We all get stuck at times and are unsure where to turn next.

Lorrie Flem of Eternal Encouragement has 12 Super Simple Time Saving Tips that she shares with women to help us manage our day and keep our sanity.  When we have our lives in order, we are less stressed.

I was so pleased to receive this MP3 from Lorrie to review as part of the Gabby Moms. Life has been very crazy the last few months around here with personal sickness and hospitalization, a father who is very ill, busy farm life, in addition to the normal duties of caring for the home. When life gets overwhelming, we tend to lose our way. I know I did. This came at a perfect time for me to help me get back on track and focus on what is important.

Our main goal should be ensuring our time with the Lord is top priority. That is a way to prepare ourselves for the day ahead and all it will entail.

Our next priority is nurturing and spending time with our family. When we are struggling each day to get the house cleaned, figuring out what needs to be done, or wasting time with thing that don’t matter, we are stealing precious moments from our family that we can never get back.

Lorrie shares tips and truths for moms from Matthew 6:33.  She reminds us of the importance of being in the Word first of all.

She shares the tool that is necessary for every mom and how simple it is to make it.

Scheduling our day is so important.  Do you allow margins for interruptions?  They are to be expected.  We will be interrupted….why don’t we add a little more time in our schedule to deal with them.

Lorrie helps us to remember to DO the next thing.  Do what has to be done next.  Don’t just flit around like a butterfly. Remain intentional.

She also reminds us that we need to share the load.  We are not doing our children any favors when we carry the entire work load. They will spend most of their lives as adults and they need to know how to run a home.

There are more tips offered by Lorrie, a homeschooling mom of eight, so she knows what she is talking about. I am thankful for her wisdom and listening to her gentle voice.

If you would like to add another tool to aid in your homemaking, 12 Super Simple Time Saving Tips is a great place to start.

This has been another Gabby Mom review…

Have a wonderful day!

I love how she reminds us to train our children. Sometimes it’s easier to just do it all ourselves…but that only helps for now, not their future.

Thanks for the review…I pray your dad’s health improves quickly!
