It’s 5 Minute Friday! I have missed doing these until last week at Allume.  I did a Live 5 Minute Friday with lots of beautiful women writing their hearts out and then braving the stage to read it.  How sweet it was to hear the voices behind the words and to see Lisa-Jo write along with us.  She is precious!!

I look forward to sharing my Allume experiences with you….I have so much processing in my brain that I can’t seem to get it on paper…I can’t seem to write.  So, I am going to break that with 5 Minute Friday. Hope you will join us over at sweet Lisa-Jo’s to participate or just read along.

Just write for 5 minutes…pour out your heart…don’t edit or worry about it. Just write.

Five Minute Friday

ROOTS:

Keeps trees and plants grounded…stretching down deep in the earth. Providing water and nourishment, providing stability in a storm. God gave them roots to stretch far and provide protection.

Are we different? We think we have it all together, running, running, busy in this life. We are capable on our own.  We don’t need to be held back.

Oh, if it weren’t for our roots, we would blow away and be destroyed in this storm of life. When the wind howls and the storm beats us on all sides, our roots hold firm.

What are our roots founded in? How deep do they go? Are we rooted in our Creator, the Solid Rock? Or are our roots in the sinking sand.

Our roots need to go deep, stretch far beyond what we think is possible. Stretch deep in His love~ the Love that loves like no other. The One who will hold us steady in the wildest of wild storms. The storms that we think will rip our mind, body and spirit to shreds.

We may be damaged in the storm, but our roots will hold firm, if we are rooted in our Creator.

And the damage…He provides healing for the hurts, a balm for the wounds.

We will bloom once again and our roots will be even deeper when the next storm rages.

I’m visiting all the five minute Friday posts and it’s making me miss doing it live with all of you beautiful gals. It was lovely meeting you in real life and putting avatar/blog/linkup to a real life person. Plus, I have no chocolate here. How is that even possible with yesterday being Halloween? Sad but true. Can’t wait to see what you have to share about your experiences. It’s so amazing to see what God is doing in each and every one of us and how we are all being planted deep for His glory.
