The Super Bowl is almost here. I will admit… I am really not a football fan. I rarely know who is playing. But I live in a house of guys, so I try to make it fun and learn. We love to celebrate here and always find a way to do that. We enjoy watching the game at Grandpa & Grandma’s house, since we do not have tv.

Easy and Yummy Super Bowl Snacks

Thankful for the pause button or just turning the TV off during half time entertainment that we do not what we approve of. It doesn’t go with our values. Sadly, the commercials are created after finding out what America wants…they are a reflection of the culture.  This can be used as a teaching tool and a window to the world about what the world is doing and how it is pulling us away from God. It can be used to help our children see what we need to pull away from. You can read more about that here.

Mixed in among the commercials that pull your heart in the wrong direction, there are some sweet commercials that will tug at your heart. This was my favorite from last year… God Made a Farmer.

The Super Bowl, good snack food and fun go hand in hand. We try to eat healthy most of the time, but do have some unhealthy snack times.

Did you know that the Super Bowl is not all that fun for lots of people? There are some really ugly truths taking place. It is the largest sex trafficking event in the US. Some people go to pimp their daughters. Very, very sad.  Check out organizations like A21 who help victims like this all over the world.
