Taking care of the home is very important. It is a huge task and if left undone, well…everything falls apart. Our responsibility is to be a Keeper of our Homes. Sometimes, we are not sure how to do that. Sometimes {many times} we are overwhelmed with all that is going on and coming at us. Our attention is pulled in so many directions. We have to be intentional as Keepers of our Homes.

Homemaking Challenges and Solutions

Taming the Clutter

This is an area that has been hard for me the last 2 years. Our family went through a major trial and we were in survival mode. As a result, clutter gathered and life was not as we had known it. We are in the process of moving from surviving to thriving, but it takes time to  heal and regroup.

28 Days to Hope for Your Home  is tops on my list to read. I love 31 Days to Clean and the focus on your heart.

Getting Organized

It is crucial to stay organized as a homemaker. It is easy to think you have all day to get to something and before you know it, the day is gone and you haven’t accomplished hardly anything. I look forward to reading The Homemaker’s Guide to Creating the Perfect Schedule.

Feeding our Families

We have to do this three times a day and then there are snacks. It is so much easier to go through the drive thru and have junk. And there are times and seasons when that is all you can do. And that is okay. I have been there. But our goal needs to be to feed our families healthy food. And when you have challenges, it is nice to have excellent resources to fall back on.

I love Crock On. We love these simple, delicious recipes.
