Time 4 Learning Review - The Encouraging Home

I enjoy being part of the iHomeschool Network family. I get to do fun things like this review. 🙂

We have enjoyed a Time4Learning trial ~ my boys have really liked it! They enjoy school much more and don’t even know they are learning while doing Time4Learning.

What is Time4Learning?

It is an online educational program for grades pre-K through eight. Many use this as a supplement to their curriculum or as after school care or summer care. Many homeschoolers use this as a complete curriculum, due to the lesson plans, parental involvement in scheduling activities, resources and immediately finding out the feedback from the lessons. Our curriculum is already set, but we will continue to use this as a supplement.

Lessons are included for:

How Does it Work?

You can access your program anywhere you are, as long as you have internet access. You or your student will log in with the username and password.  A subject area needs to be chosen and lessons completed, assignments completed. Immediate feedback is given and parent’s can track progress. After lessons and assignments are completed, a quiz or a test will be given. Then there is a playground where students just relax and have fun.

Easy to customize to each child. You get a grade above and below their current level and can adjust where they need to be by subject.

You can schedule activites so you will be able to finish everything according to the pace mom sets.

We love to use our laptop during school!

I use my smartboard about twice a week and try to sneak a computer activity in at least once a week. The kids LOVE technology and complain much less when asked to read from a computer screen instead of a book or handout.

Mary, it has been too long since I stopped by here! I’ve gotten away from blog reading, though I’m not sure why. Anyway, I am allotting myself a bit of time each morning to read and you were one of the first places I was determined to visit! I missed the giveaway but I read your review and I am totally curious and am going to check this out! I hope you are having a wonderful week! Love, Kasey

We have been using Time4learning for many years and it works well for our two children. It’s our main curriculum but we supplement it with other things too. It’s nice on those days when you really need to get some school in before an extracurricular activity. Like today, my daughter did he T4L in the morning before we had to rush to fiddle lessons and then soccer.

It sounds like it would work as a nice supplement for your family!
