Building a Natural First Aid Kit

5 Days of Using Essential Oils, Young Living Essential Oils, lavender, thieves, lemon, purification, pepppermint

Today we are talking about building a natural first aid kit.  This is not your normal first aid kit. Once you experience the amazing benefits of essential oils,  you will wonder how you made it so long without them and feel lost if you don’t have them with you.

When an emergency happens, it is important to be prepared. It is often hard to think about what to do next. Having a well stocked first aid kit and being familiar with how to use the oils will be very beneficial to those around you.

Your First Aid Kit should have the following essential oils: {See the end of the post for information on a ready made First Aid Kit}

Peace & Calming~calming, anti-anxiety

Lemon~ antiseptic, purifies water, insect bites. *Do not put on skin exposed to sunlight.*

PanAway ~ sore musles, aches/pains, insect bites, cuts & scrapes, bruises, headaches, poison ivy/oak

Peppermint~*NOT for use on open wounds*. Fever, head ache, digestion, sore muscles, dizziness, allergies, congestion, sinuses

Lavender~calming, wound cleaning, burns, bruises, speeds healing, poison ivy/oak, blisters, headaches, allergies

Thieves~wound cleaning, airborne bacteria, insect bites, stings, food poisoning, flu, colds, cuts & scrapes

Purification~cuts & scrapes, bug bites, sore throat, cough, insect repellant

Trauma Life~soothing to emotions after a traumatic experience

Melrose~cuts, burns, rashes inflammation, fungus on nail/foot, antiseptic, blisters, poison ivy/oak

Geranium~apply with compress to stop bleeding, astringent, bruises, sinus problems, inflammation, bruises

R.C.~cough, congestion, colds

Melaleuca (Tea Tree)~cuts/scrapes, blisters, insect repellant

Inner Defense (supplement)~cold, flu, food poison, fight infection

Living Clay~ we use this for almost everything. Put the dry powder on a cut to stop the bleeding. Sprinkle some in a water bottle to purify the water.  Mix with water to form a paste and put on bee stings, bites, cuts, scrapes, snake bites, broken bones…the possiblities are endless! We also use this to brush our teeth and add Thieves Essential Oil to it.

Before you start working on someone, apply Peace & Calming, Trauma Life or Lavender to yourself…inhale it, put it on your wrists or heart to calm your nerves so you can think more clearly. Also let the injured person inhale or put on wrists to help them with anxiety as well.

Essential Oils can be inhaled, applied topically to location or feet (May need to dilute with vegetable oil) or taken internally. *ONLY if using Young Living Essential Oils*   Read more about WHY  Young Living here and the ways to use essential oils here.  Grab a free guide to using essential oils at the end of the post or in the blue box to the right.
