2:1 Conference Button

You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine. ~ Titus 2:1

I have not been blogging much lately due to sickness in our family that caused me to have to work more at the farm and then my father suffered a stroke.  He is doing much better and hopes to come home soon. I am still fighting kidney stones and facing possible surgery. Thank you for your prayers!  My blog switchover/redesign is still not completed…thank you for your patience during this stressful season in my life.

I was catching up with my favorite bloggers and was excited that Amy at Raising Arrows was giving away a ticket to the conference. To enter, I had to write a post about why I would like to attend. I actually learned of the 2:1 Conference through Amy and have been trying to figure out a way to get sponsors or raise the funds.

I was not a winner in that contest, but now Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers  is having a contest as well.

*UPDATE- I WON the ticket from Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers!!*

Why would I like to go to the 2:1 Conference?

This conference is for homeschooling mothers that blog.  The conference is to help bring focus on what we desire for our faith, homeschool, and blogs this year.

The list of speakers is amazing and I know I would be blessed so much to hear them at the conference. In turn, I pray that I will be able to share how I have been impacted and experienced growth in my faith, homeschooling, and blogging.

It is my desire that my blog will be a constant source of encouragement, although this last month, I have been the one encouraged by your kind words, thoughts, and prayers during my sickness.

I have named my year  A Year of Renewal and my word for 2012 is Intentional. It is my prayer that you will find a place of encouragement and renewal when you visit The Encouraging Home and that I will be intentional in making that happen for you.

I know that I would learn so much by attending the 2:1 Conference and be able to grow a better blog and encourage you in your faith and homeschooling.  I am looking forward to the possible doors that God may open if I am to attend 2:1.

Blessings!

Mary
